- stories passed on from generations

- wigwam: a dome shaped hut 

- stories lead one into the other told by Iagoo 

- The North Wind was said to be an old man

- The South Wind was warm and beautiful, helping things grow while the North Wind caused cold and nothingness

- The two winds wrestled, until Shin-ge-bis won against the North Wind

- Iagoo explains the life and ways of the animals before getting into the story of the two children

- the animals tried to think of a way to help get the kids down

- many of the animals talk to each other or the humans have the ability to understand and talk to the animals
