Week 12 Lab: Microfictions

Prior to this lab I had written a couple microfictions because of some of my extra credit assignments for this class. At first I was unsure of this way of storytelling, but as I found good examples I saw the ways 100 words can effectively convey a story. For me and the stories that I wrote I drew from the Reddit page of two-sentence horror, creating a world of ghosts. I found that while I could not fully give all the details in one story it has allowed me to create a mini series about small ghosts. I have learned how to build stories off each other in concise way in order to save word space. I liked the idea of telling a story in two sentences or even in six words. I think that it is a way to add some flair into your writing so that it does not sound too heavy. Oh, I will definitely keep writing microfictions. I hope to build onto my ghost series more and more in the next couple weeks.
